Waterviews from almost everywhere at this sweet cottage. Take it easy at this unique secluded and tranquil getaway. Located at the bend of Cattail Creek, the creek wraps around three sides of the cottage.
The Cottage at Cattail Bend has 2 bedrooms, one queen and one with 2 twin beds. One full bath with a walk in shower. This sweet cottage is almost 100 years old, and is filled with character, charm and some old gal quirks. Beautiful water views from almost all areas of the home, but many of the windows are original and painted shut.
With your own dock and 2 provided kaykas, you can pop into the creek and go right out to The North East River. In addition to being creek front, you have beautiful river views and are steps to a sandy beach area at the Footlog Park.
Located at the very end of the road, we have a very private, water filled setting. A large yard with firepit, gas grill, picnic table give you plently of space to enjoy the waterviews. Bring your boat, as the boat launch is close by.
Surrounded by nature and water. Please be gentle on the surrounding nature and wildlife that live here. There are many turtles, bullfrogs, birds and sea creatures that you will come across, and make this cottage just so special to all nature lovers.

THE LOCATION
The Cottage at Cattail Bend is located on the bend of Cattail Creek in Charlestown, Maryland. Cattail Creek flows into the North East River at the very top of Chesapeake Bay. You'll be surrounded by water views and have access for kayaking, canoeing and fishing - no permit required.
INSIDE
The Cottage at Cattail Bend is new renovated and decorated but this sweet cottage is almost 100 years old, and is filled with character and charm of its own.
In the kitchen there's all new appliances and cabinetry. Equipped for making everything from morning coffee to preparing meals to cooking of all types the galley style kitchen is ready for you. Just off the kitchen is the stacked clothes washer and dryer.
The primary bedroom has a king size bed and plenty of room to spread out and relax. Includes on-suite primary bathroom and walk-in closet space.
The bathroom is spacious and bright. It has been stocked with everything you need including shampoo, body soap and more. The huge walk-in shower provides plenty of room to clean from head to toe.
The other bedroom has two single beds. Unpack, relax and enjoy your stay.
The Porch is the perfect place to enjoy the outdoors protected from the elements. Comfortable seating and a dining table with chairs make this the perfect place to spend time, enjoy a meal, a cold beverage, and enjoy the views.
OUTDOORS
The back yard offers seating for relaxing, a gas BBQ grill and more. Out in the yard there's a wood burning fire pit, perfect for making and enjoying s'mores on cool evenings. The dock provides access to the creek to launch the kayaks and canoe. The cutest little out building has owners storage, no one stays in there in case you were wondering.
Cottage at Cattail Bend in Charlestown, Maryland is an amazing find. Tucked back in its own area of seclusion, yet you can see the Northeast River & the creek runs nest to the cottage.
Full of character & charm, the cottage is cozy, but very comfortable.
Highly recommend if you are looking for a little getaway surrounded by nature. Also, loved having the kayaks and that amazing float mat. So much fun!
